Coatham Sands Surf Guide
Coatham Sands in North East England is a fairly exposed beach and reef break that has inconsistent surf. Winter and spring are the optimum times of year to visit. Offshore winds blow from the west southwest. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the north. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights together with both left and right hand reef breaks offshore.. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Take care of pollution/groynes.
