A light easterly wind dropped to nothing for a while and there were frequent sets to a foot or so overhead. Despite everything seeming right there are no reliable banks so it was very hard to pick the right spot/right wave. Now and then you got lucky and it was great: mostly lefts and now and then a better right. Lovely sunny day.
