The Castle Surf Guide
The Castle in New Jersey is a fairly exposed beach/Jetty break that has consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds blow from the northwest. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the best swell direction is from the northeast. The beach breaks favour lefts. Best around mid tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Hazards include rips, rusty wrecks.
