Sawtell Surf Guide
Sawtell in Port Macquarie is an exposed beach break that has quite reliable surf. Autumn and winter are the best times of year for waves. Works best in offshore winds from the west southwest with some shelter here from northeast winds. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the best swell direction is from the southeast. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Watch out for rips, rocks and sharks.
