Photo de Surf de Rabbit Island: 'High Tide' par Rob Davies

Knee-high 1 foot waves at a long period (about 16 seconds) are evidence of a huge swell in the distant Tasman sea where it peaked over 8m after the first big southerly blast of the 2013 winter. The 90 degree wrap sent solid swell to Whangamoa but was much too westerly for the other Tasman Bay breaks.
