Quai du Diable in South Reunion is an exposed reef break that has dependable surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the north northeast. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southwest. Both left and right reef breaks. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Take care of urchins, rocks, locals and sharks.
