Puwheke Beach Surf Guide
Puwheke Beach in Northland is a fairly exposed beach and reef break that does not work very often Offshore winds blow from the south and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the north. The beach break provides left and right handers as well as left and right hand reef breaks. Good surf at all stages of the tide. A remote wave spot that never gets crowded. Submerged rocks are a hazard.
