Porlock Weir in North Devon is a sheltered reef break. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the south. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the west northwest. There is a left breaking reef. Best around high tide. It's often crowded here. Watch out for rocks and rips.
