Ponta das Aranhas is located north of Moçambique beach. There are two ways to get there: by car and by foot. By car you are supposed to get to a small road in the neighborhood of Rio Vermelho. Another way to get there is hiking a 2 hour trail from Santinho beach. Such difficult access allowed this beach to stay preserved and deserted. When the day is good, you get some nice barrels over there, but it can be dangerous to surf alone due to strong rips at sea ,and thieves on land. Winter time is best to surf there and the rips are stronger during the winter, but it can get pretty busy in the water during summertime as well.
