Ning Nong Point and Reef Surf Guide
Ning Nong Point and Reef in the Waiararpa is an exposed reef and point break that has quite consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Works best in offshore winds from the north northeast. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south. There is no beach break and there is a left hand reef break as well. and there is a left hand point break as well. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It very rarely gets crowded here. Submerged rocks are a hazard.
