Mission Beach in San Diego County is an exposed beach break that has reasonably consistent surf. Summer offers the optimum conditions for surfing. Offshore winds are from the east. Groundswells are more common than windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southwest. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights. Best around high tide when the tide is falling. It's often crowded here. Rocks are a hazard.
