La Guillotine in Languedoc-Roussillon is a fairly exposed sandbar break that has unreliable waves. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds blow from the north. Windswells are much more typical than groudswells and the optimum wave angle is from the south. Waves at the sandbar tend to peel to the left. Good surf at all stages of the tide.
