Kata Beach Surf Guide
Kata Beach in Phuket is an exposed beach break that does not work very often. May-Oct (Dry Season) is the favoured time of year for waves. Offshore winds blow from the northeast with some shelter here from north winds. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southwest. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It's often crowded here. Beware of rocks, rips, pollution after rain.
