Haggerty's Surf Guide
Haggerty's and Malaga Cove in LA County is a quite exposed reef and point break that has very consistent waves. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the east southeast. Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the west northwest. There is a left breaking reef and there is a left hand point break too. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Often Crowded. Beware of urchins, rocks, locals and pollution.
