The swell had such a long period that Fletchers held bigger waves than usual - say a foot or two overhead and very consistent despite a bit of cross-breeze. There is always a lot of marine life here (dolphins on previous 2 visits) and on my fourth wave there was a 2m shark (Bronze whaler?) in the wall of unbroken wave just ahead of me. Spooky and certainly big enough for me to turn and aim for the shore and cut the session short.
