El Escambrón Surf Guide
El Escambrón in Puerto Rico is an exposed reef break that has consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds are from the south and there is no shelter here from cross shore breezes. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the north. No reef break here. Unlikely to be too crowded, even when the surf is up. Watch out for rocks.
