Ballyheigue in Kerry is an exposed beach and reef break that has consistent surf and can work at any time of the year. Offshore winds blow from the east with some shelter here from north winds. Windswells and groundswells in equal measure and the optimum swell angle is from the west. Waves at the beach are both lefts and rights together with both left and right hand reef breaks offshore. Sometimes crowded. Watch out for rocks.
