- SW Wind affected but a tight pack of 8 surfers were getting fast shoulders around low tide with 1-2 foot overhead clean faces. About 15 surfers in two groupls at Fall Bay where it was a touch cleaner. Some double-ups but some long lefts too. I'll upload some images. Lovely warm sunnyday felt like a summer day.
- There were 6 surfers in at Rhossili and they were about 700m from the shore and were still set waves first breaking well outside them but they were getting the odd overhead shoulder. Kudos! A foot overhead and lumpy, but feeling very warm in the sunshine.
- Carlsmith out on the point towards lele'iwi 6-8+
- Yacht club puna 6-8+ft almost tow in size
- Onekahakaha outside the wall firing 3+ puna ft
- 1-2 feet and mush

- Boating: 7 AM Friday was a killer for the waves at Destin
- A lovely day after a a cold start with a ground frost on Gower. The swell faded overnight to the waist to occasionally head-high range. Light SE breeze. Tended to break straight again and there were some lulls between sets. Quite busy in the water.
- It looked about as good as it gets, although if you were out there, the offshore would feel strong. Shoulders looked 6-8 feet on the sets and those sets were frequent.

Test
The hurricane swell ramped up and the short period swell dropped out. The problem with a very clean long period groundswell is that it breaks straight on beaches that lack sandbanks, so Rhossili was not the best option. Just before high tide, there was a sneaker set that was far overhead, but generally it became shoulder high and once the tide dropped, mostly much too straight. Llanegnnith was bigger and better shape but south facing places would have been better. Outer Head looked superb, with 4m faces
- About 10 surfers enjoyed steep to hollow waves up to a foot overhead on the peaks at low tide. Very fast lefts. Lovely sunny evening with shelter here from and offshore northerly I will upload some images later.
- Later tide, so not quite as good as Monday evening. The waves tended to back off, were generally smaller and there were some lulls. Even so, fast shoulders in the chest to head-high range. As always, bigger from the Old Rectory north. Light SE breeze and light showers after a rainly spell..

- This site called for 3 and 4 star ratings for Rhossili on Monday afternoon. Conditions lived up to it with fairly light cross-off winds and very nice workable walls that were steep and fast for here. About head-high between the wreck and the cliffs, but that bit bigger in front of The Rectory. Wind affected and bigger again at Llangennith with no takers. Warm sunny day gave way to heavy rain after dark.

- RInse an repeat of Friday, with enough swell but too much wind from SSE; apart from a very brief period mid-tide when it went lighter and more east than south. Shoulder high set waves from the Rectory north. Cloudy with late rain.
- As often happens, a SE wind in Rhossili village was cross-shore south on the beach and the swell was a bit too weak to tuck under the shelter of the cliffs. Waist to shoulder high at the shipwreck, but shoulder to head-high sets from the Old Rectory north, but with that crossing chop. Cloud increasing, but dry.
- Not bad conditions on Thursday with waves around shoulder high and it improves as the SSE wind eased and went more offshore. Sunny and feeling warm but the sea was chilly becase it was just 6 degrees last night.

- Monday afternoon had NW winds and improving weather with heaps of swell as a legacy from the storm on Sunday. No takers at Three Cliffs because of big sets breaking outside but options just east at Pobbles, or west, at Tor, offered fun clean conditions.
- Only a few masochists out on Sunday afternoon because the forecast was for the offshore to be ridiculously strong. Even the deep shelter at high tide couldn't quite save it, which is a shame becuase the swell built as forecast from knee high at 3pm to head high sets by dark.
