Waihee in Maui is an exposed reef and point break that has reasonably consistent surf. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the south southwest. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the north northeast. Both left and right reef breaks. Sometimes crowded. Hazards include urchins and rips.
