Trefor on Lleyn is a sheltered beach and point break that only works once in a while. Winter and spring are the best times of year to visit. Ideal winds are from the southeast with some shelter here from west winds. Most of the surf comes fis in the form of windswells and the best wave direction is from the southwest. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves and there is a left hand point break as well. Rarely crowded here. Surfing here means negotiating dangerous rips.
