The Wreck in Garden Route is a sheltered beach break that has reasonably consistent surf. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Ideal winds are from the west southwest. Clean groundswells prevail and the best swell direction is from the south southeast. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights. Sometimes crowded. Watch out for wreck and sharks.
