  1. By 2pm it was for kites and windsurfers as the southerly wind reached force 5 but until about 11:30am there was clean chest high surf on offer. Glorious day compared to Sunday.

    Midway Beach - Surf Club, 6 km away
  2. Monday morning offered fun waves about shoulder high and clean until the sotherly breeze arrived at about 11am. You appreaciate what a classy spot Makorori is when a mish-mash of weak small swells can still be so worthwhile.
