Sharp Park in San Mateo is an exposed beach/Pier break that has very consistent waves and works all around the year. The best wind direction is from the east with some shelter here from northwest winds. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the optimum swell angle is from the west. The beach break provides left and right handers. Best around low tide. Often Crowded. Watch out for rocks, locals and sharks.
