Sandbank on the East Coast is an exposed beach break that has consistent surf Works best in offshore winds from the southwest. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the northeast. The beach break provides left and right handers. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Dangerous rips are a hazard of surfing here.
