Rimmers Road in West Coast Auckland is an exposed beach break that has very consistent surf and works all around the year. Offshore winds are from the east. Easily blown out by an onshore breeze Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southwest. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. Best around mid tide when the tide is rising. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Hazards include rips and sharks.
