Punta Rocas in Lima is an exposed reef break that is usually a safe bet. The best time of year for waves is autumn. The best wind direction is from the east. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell angle is from the south southwest. Primarily a right hand reef break, although a left is also possible.. It's often crowded here. Beware of rips and rocks.
