Praiao in Sao Paulo is an exposed river break that has fairly consistent surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the north northwest. Groundswells are more common than windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the southeast. The river break provides left and right handers. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It's sometimes crowded here. Watch out for dangerous rips.
