Praia da Rocha in Algarve is a fairly exposed beach break that has unreliable waves. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the north. Windswells are much more typical than groudswells and the ideal wave direction is from the southwest. Waves at the beach break both left and right. Often Crowded. The crowds in the water make a gath helmet a good idea.
