Porto Novo in Central Lisboa is a sheltered reef break that has fairly consistent surf. Autumn and winter are the optimum times of year for waves. Works best in offshore winds from the west. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the best swell direction is from the north. A right hand reef break. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Sometimes crowded. Beware of rocks and locals.
