Playa de Melide in Galicia is a sheltered beach break that only works once in a while. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the northeast with some shelter here from northwest winds. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southwest. The beach break provides left and right handers. It very rarely gets crowded here.
