Playa Hermosa in Rivas Province is an exposed beach break that has dependable surf Works best in offshore winds from the northeast. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south southwest. Waves at the beach break both left and right. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Dangerous rips are a hazard of surfing here.

Welcome to Playa Hermosa Surf Camp- SURVIVOR BEACH
Our Ranch is located 8 miles from San Juan Del Sur. This is a beautiful 2km beach with five or more peaks for surfing. This is a beach break. It’s also a wonderful family place, which you can enjoy comfortably, and as always, it’s safe and accessible for all type of vehicles.
A service fee of US$3 or C$65.00 is required at the entrance. The services you obtain are: an excellent and well maintained road, Security 24/7, hammocks, chairs, fresh water showers, clean bathrooms, lockers w/lock, and an excellent and warm service from our workers. Children under 12 years old are free.
We have a restaurant and bar, with amazing BBQ food, at a good price. We also have guided horseback riding at a decent price.
Shuttle services: OUR MERCEDES BENZ 4X4 TRUCK departs from the corner in front of GATO NEGRO, at 10:00 am and 12:00 md, and departs from PHSC at 5:00 pm. Round-trip transportation will cost you US$10, and includes service fee and transportation.
