Pinetrees in Kauai is an exposed beach break that has fairly consistent surf. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the south southeast. Groundswells are more common than windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the north. The beach break offers both left and right hand waves. It's often crowded here. Beware of locals and sharks.
