Piha-The Bar in West Coast Auckland is an exposed beach break that has quite reliable surf Offshore winds are from the southeast. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the optimum swell angle is from the southwest. The beach breaks offer left-handers. Best around low tide when the tide is rising. Sometimes crowded. Hazards include rips and rocks.
