Panama City Beach in Florida is an exposed beach break that has reliable surf. The optimum conditions for surfing are during the hurricane season. The best wind direction is from the north. Windswells are much more common than groundswells and the ideal wave angle is from the south southeast. The beach break provides left and right handers. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Take care of rips and sharks.
