Outside Shoals in Maryland is an exposed Offshore Break break that does not work very often with no particular seasonal pattern. The best wind direction is from the west. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the southeast. The beach break provides left and right handers. It very rarely gets crowded here. Hazards include rips and sharks.
