Newcastle -The Harbour in Newcastle is a reasonably exposed beach break that only works once in a while. The best time of year for waves is autumn. The best wind direction is from the south southwest. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the optimum swell angle is from the northeast. A right hand reef. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Beware of rips, obstacles, pollution and sharks.
