Milford Beach in Auckland East Coast is a sheltered beach and reef break that only works once in a while. Spring and Summer provide the best conditions. The best wind direction is from the west. Tends to receive distant groundswells and the ideal swell angle is from the northeast. The beach break provides left and right handers and there are also left and right hand reef breaks on offer.. Best around high tide. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Beware of rocks, locals and pollution.
