La Caffrine in West Reunion is an exposed beach break that has quite consistent surf. Winter is the favoured time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the east northeast. Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the best swell direction is from the south southwest. The beach break provides left and right handers. When it's working here, it can get crowded. Sharks may be a hazard at this break.
