Jeribucacu in South Bahia is an exposed river break that has reliable surf. The surf tends to be best in the spring. Works best in offshore winds from the west. Tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells and the optimum swell angle is from the east southeast. The river break offers both left and right hand waves. Relatively few surfers here, even on good days. Surfing here means negotiating dangerous rips.
