Grande Anse(Mahe) in Mahe is a fairly exposed beach and reef break that does not work very often. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the north northeast. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the south. The beach break provides left and right handers as well as a right hand reef break.. Even when there are waves, it's not likley to be crowded. Submerged rocks are a hazard.
