Colan in Piura is an exposed beach break that has unreliable waves with no particular seasonal pattern. Offshore winds are from the east. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell angle is from the northwest. The beach break provides left and right handers. Surfable at all stages of the tide. It very rarely gets crowded here. Watch out for dangerous rips.
