Cigana in Santa Caterina is an exposed beach break that has quite consistent surf. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. Works best in offshore winds from the north northwest with some shelter here from south winds. Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the ideal swell angle is from the south. Waves at the beach break both left and right. It's sometimes crowded here. Watch out for rocks.
