Chirimena in Caracas Area is an exposed beach and point break that has quite reliable surf. Winter is the best time of year for surfing here. Offshore winds are from the south with some shelter here from east winds. Waves just as likely from local windswells as from distant groundswells and the best swell direction is from the north northeast. The beach break provides left and right handers and there is a left hand point break as well. It's sometimes crowded here. Beware of rocks and urchins.
