Asu in Nias, Hinako Islands is an exposed point break that has very reliable surf. May-Oct (Dry Season) is the best time of year for waves. Offshore winds blow from the southeast. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the best swell direction is from the southwest.There is a left breaking point here. Good surf at all stages of the tide. Rarely crowded here. Submerged rocks are a hazard.
